Step-by-Step Tutorial: Make Amazing Waterslide Decals for Glasses

Can I use normal inkjet printer to print the waterslide decal paper? Yes, you can. Alizarin Inkjet Waterslide Decal Paper allows you to print with normal inkjet printer just with normal ink (dye or pigment ink, no sublimation ink). So, it’s easier for your decoration on hard surfaces now. It can be a ceramic, glass, candles, metal etc. Follow my step-by-step tutorial to start the amazing decoration on glasses.

What You Need:

1. Alizarin Inkjet Waterslide Decal Paper;
2. Computer to print image;
3. Normal Inkjet Printer with normal ink (dye or pigment ink);
4. Acrylic clear spray;
5. Scissors or cutting plotters;
6. Big bowl and water;
7. Paper towels or cloth (squeegee optional);
8. A surface to put decals onto. 

How to Apply Step-by-Step:

Step 1: Print the image by a normal inkjet printer with normal ink, no need sublimation ink, just dye or pigment ink; No need mirror image. 

Step 2: After printing, wait about 5 minutes until the ink is dry.

Step 3: Spray clear acrylic sealer onto the image, about two or three times.

Step 4: Wait until the acrylic sealer is dry, about 5 minutes.

Step 5: Cut out the image by scissors or cutting plotters.

Step 6: Immerse the image into the room temperature water about 30-60 seconds.

Step 7: Put the decal paper onto the surface, and gently slide the backing sheet.

Step 8: Squeegee the bubbles or water with paper towels or cloth gently. 

Step 9: Let it air dry about 48 hours.
